Rating certified by the ministry of tourism and carried out based on criteria such as level of comfort, quality of facilities and customer service.
Campsites and holiday parks :
You will find staff who will speak at least 2 languages in addition to French. There will be a reception area (or administration building for holiday parks) staffed 24/7. You will find a play area for children in the communal areas as well as numerous guest facilities (internet access in communal areas, drinks facilities etc).
Holiday residence :
The staff have to speak at least one language other than French, with reception open for at least 5 hours per day (apart from arrival day and a rest day). The accommodation will have a surface area of at least 15m2 for two persons including the kitchen area, bathroom excluded. Communal areas are more spacious than a 1 star residence (notably the reception and lounge areas) with a minimum surface area of 60m2 (20m2 in a 1 star residence).
Holiday village :
The staff have to speak at least one language other than French, with reception open for at least 6 hours a day (excluding arrival day during school holidays). Accommodation labelled “two person rental” will have a surface area of at least 15m2, including the kitchen area, bathroom excluded. Communal areas are more spacious than those of a 1 star residence (notably the reception and lounge areas) with a minimum surface area of 50m2 (20m2 in a 1 star residence).
